HEALTH & SAFETY
Woodlands North health and safety program drives all project decisions. Our strong safety culture is promoted through education and training programs and plays a significant role in staff recruitment. Since achieving our Certificate of Recognition (COR) in 2006, Woodlands North has proudly achieved excellent audit scores and we continue to celebrate day to day achievements that support company and client safe practices, shared beliefs, and attitudes.
Our program is dynamic and involves multiple feedback loops to ensure continuous improvement.
SAFETY TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION
All field staff maintain valid certifications relevant health and safety courses. Woodlands North employees contribute to and regularly participate in health and safety refresher training exercises. Senior field supervisors are trained in safety leadership skills, behaviour based analysis, and incident/accident investigations. As a member of ISNetworld, an international third party quality verification system, Woodlands North ensures staff are trained on the most current safety standards set forth by clients and legislation.
SAFETY COMMUNICATIONS AND REPORTING
Safety meetings are conducted daily, bi-weekly, and as needed on site to discuss scope of work, potential hazards and controls to mitigate hazards. All staff are required to participate in task hazard identification and follow established policies, procedures, and practices. Woodlands North safety culture encourages staff to be ever vigilant to report unsafe conditions. We support open and honest communications with our clients.
